About Us

Phuchan Travel is a joint venture between the Dutch adventure travel group "Adventure Now" and its Thai counterparts. Phuchan Travel's head office is in Bangkok, with a branch office in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, and subsidiary offices in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

Our aim is to offer affordable vacations, focusing on fun, adventure, and an in-depth experience of the cultures of South East Asia. Besides the cultural highlights of each country, our trips typically explore National Parks and off-the-beaten track areas, make use of the many rivers in this region, as well as allowing time to relax on quiet beaches. However, the most important aspect of our trips remains that of getting to know the people of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, providing a rare opportunity to take home a taste of daily life in these countries.

Phuchan Travel trains and employs local guides and leaders who enthusiastically share their knowledge of local restaurants, tell you where to find the best produce in a small market, teach you a little of their language and culture, and contribute in countless ways to an everlasting memory of a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

To support cohesive leadership on group trips that cover several countries, Phuchan employs Western tour leaders. In all cases, these professional people have a deep affection for the region, often having lived locally for many years, and will speak at least one of the region's languages. Their role is to supervise the logistics of a trip, facilitate transitions from one country to another and to enhance the abilities of local guides.

Finally, Phuchan Travel is a member of a worldwide alliance of travel agents, Global Discovery, as well as local travel alliances such as the TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) and ATTA.
